I forgot what I was going to write.
|Saturday, June 10th, 2006|
Well I've been posting a lot recently and mainly about boring stuff such as horses...sorry to those of you that bothered to read through those updates. This entry on the otherhand is almost entirely horse free.
I've decided housesitting is good for improving one's "how to live in the real world" skills. You have to cook for yourself, attempt to go to bed at a decent hour, you have responsibilities that you really can't just forget, stuff like that. Granted I made Jello yesterday just for the fun of it and then tried feeding it to the horses, didn't go over to well. Anyways I felt very grown up today.
My parents have also been really awesome about things of late, like a couple of months ago they wouldn't have let today happen. They still made me call afterwords but that was to make sure we didn't get killed riding.
Other thing brought to my attention today is that I have no fear of a 1200 lb animal that has broken my bones, bitten and kicked me on multiple occasions. I though about this later, and realized it might not be the worst thing if I was a little more scared...well maybe not scared but alert about the whole thing. I'm always safe, but probably a little more relaxed than I need to be.
Well I put the dogs to bed and fed the cats and horses. So I'm off to watch TV and then sleep and hopefully have wonderfully pleasant dreams. Current Mood: content

Reason I love Pedro Martinez number 7. After giving up a homerun to Nomar and a couple of other hits, he points his hand at his head in the shape of a gun...and pulls the trigger.

It is hot, worse than that though is the humidity...everything seems sticky.
I was thinking about funny things that have happened to me or just funny things in general over the years. In no order... but yet numbered for organizational purposes.
1. Sarah and I stealing Laura and Emily's clothes when they were skinny dipping and leaving them polo wraps to wear back.
Polo wraps are around 8 feet long and 4 inches wide, they looked quite mummified when they got back.
2. Getting locked in a horse stall. Damn those horse proof locks that you can only open from the outside.
3. Some one accidentally spilling a lot of liniment on Caleb's crotch that soaked through.
FYI- Liniment is meant to increase blood flow for about an hour, followed by cooling. Sort of like an IcyHot patch, the thing
Shaq does ads for.
4. Thinking my Grandpa talked about cheese obsessivly when in fact he was talking about where he grew up.
5. Me and my friends dog both getting huge facefuls of water, when we were rafting and we were hanging over the edge looking for fish. I have never inhaled that much water in my life.
6. Having a chipmunk run up inside my pants as it was fleeing the cat.
7. Riding a very pregnant Diva up the road bareback and running into a very large and upset cow that started to chase us.
8. My horse being absolutely freaked out by turning on Nelly. Current Mood: amused

The Murphy house may no longer be standing!
Shaq + Wade = some kind of amazing!
I forgot this in one of yesterdays posts...
I get to train the little pony at the barn. I'm really excited, I helped with the other two, but I'm actually going to get to do most of this on my own. She has to learn how to lead, tie, load into the trailer, be groomed, and have her feet trimmed, and a bunch of other stuff. I can feel the headaches already, after she knocks me over and I hit my head on wall or something along those lines.
Other thing is I get paid, so it's double fun.

DEEEETROIT BASKETBALL!!! Quite the beatdown in progress, I must say.
Spurs were victorious in the battle for Texas.
Yankees have either won or are seconds away.
Rolex was fun, couple of crashes, always amusing. Falling off into water is so gross.

Finally, I got my hair cut, well it's actually more of a trim.
Things to do this week
- finish histiography paper
- finish projects stuff
- dress and shoes
- buy new running shoes
- go running
- ride my horse or go running with my horse, kill two birds with one stone sort of deal
- watch CSI
- try to go to debate tuesday
- various other activities
Mud. I was covered in mud...well up to my knees. I guess that's what I get trying to hop from between all the mud puddles and finally failing. If my horse was shorter or I was taller this wouldn't have happened, because I would have been able to get on and ride through all the mud. As it was we were both very muddy y the time we got back to the barn. That was pretty much the most exciting part of my day or when the dog and I got a bunch of horse hair in our faces and were both sneezing, that was actually really funnny.
Note to self: Bring CDs to the barn so you don't have to listen to 2 hours of Magic 94.5 Current Mood: happy

Ride a horse, save a Cowboy
Petanque! Was actually fun today :)
I have no immediate homework, but a shit load of longer term projects I could be doing...hmmm do start them or watch the Yankee game that is the question. Thank goodness I have mastered multi-tasking.
THE CAT IS STALKING ME! She followed me outside, inside, upstairs, downstairs, into the shower, onto the couch, I can't seem to evade her. In fact as I type she is sitting on my desk staring at me.
Oh I had another one of those so and so does that or people are doing that bubbles burst today. I kind of already knew, but I was still sort of wishing it wasn't true. It's not even a bad thing, well I don't know depending on said actions at said activity I guess it could be. I just want people to be so innocent and...

Duke is out! Bradley also, it's about time.
I'm still really sick, but am enjoying my evening at home by myself, singing(which probably sounds horrendous), doing homework, craving wierd foods(I'd swear you'd think I was pregnant...lol), looking through old pictures(so random ones of me with my horse and from the last family reunion good times, and some really old ones from Petanque).
It's been wierd not having debate, I feel very deprived. Today Earle, Tash and I all had on orange shirts, it was smashing.
One more day until Spring Break!!! I have a speech and a math quiz tomorrow, but that's pretty mcuh it.
I can't wait to go to Seattle it should be really fun. See friends and the newest exchange student(our friends always have a male exchange student and in previous years they have been RA). Look at Seattle U. I'm not sure if I can see my self going to a Catholic School, but it doesn't seem to be a big deal at all in College. It would make all my mom's side family so happy, their little girl going off to a nice Cathloic school and meeting a nice husband...hahaha no way in hell. BASEBALL IN 10 DAYS!!!!!!!!!
I can harldy contain my excitment, well actually I can't. Current Mood: Sick and Happy

Dan why do you post things then later take them off, you do this more so then anybody else?
I went to the barn this afternoon and ended up having to bring in ponies and feed. I got hay all over me and down my shirt, which seemed as though it would have been impossible since I had 5ish layers on.
Basically no HW over break!
